like the OP i gauge the health of my battery by how long it take the BT to go green after i plug in .
The c-14 took on average 3-4 hours . My other bikes would go green in 5- 10 min.  after returning from a ride .I dont have c-14 anymore but something was not quite right there. I dont think that battery was ever near 100%

My Yuasa Smart Shot 900 is plugged in on the shelf right next to where I park my bike. If I'm not going to ride it for a few days, then I plug it in. What can it hurt?

Reading the specs, it appears to be almost identical to the Deltran Battery Tender Junior.  Should do nothing but good for your battery.  It brings the battery to 14.4V and then enters float mode.
