As anticipated in another post, on Saturday MGValerio and I met in Tuscany, at half-way from our homes in one of the first true hot days of this year.
The meeting point was Orbetello, in the midlle of a lagoon connecting the mainland to a Monte Argentario, a promontory full of rich houses and villas for wealthy people... ;)
When we arrived we met my son who was just unboarding from the ferry from Isola del Giglio (the island where the Costa cruise ship wrecked because of the "not so brave" captain... )
He went there for one week camp with the University for geological research (yes, he took Geology at the University :) )
This is a pic of Valerio, me and my son

We then had a trip around and here are some shots of the stunning views we had....

Here we have the silhouette of an unaware Valerio dealing with his top case and his glasses... ;D

Finally the deserved reward for the trip: lunch at a restaurant!
We found one at the harbour of Porto Santo Stefano, the main city on the promontory
Look at what we had as first course... 8)

Needless to say that we gad a great lunch and Valerio will post a video (as usual) about the whole trip.
Here is a snapshot while he was filming our pasta...

On our way back to the parked bikes we saw the arrival of the participants at a regatta (I told you that it's a place fro rich people... ;) )
Some snaps of the boats docked and a view of Porto Santo Stefano
(notice the young lady in white bu... er ... slacks at the center of the picture... :P :P)

We had a great day together and hopefully we'll meet again soon... :D
As last thing, here are a couple of shots of an old beauty parked there...

How can you deal with that traffic? That would make me insane.

Interesting lane sharing. Is that how they do it in Cali?

How can you deal with that traffic? That would make me insane.
That traffic jam was due to a temporary traffic light installed for some works restricting the lane to one direction at time.
Moreover the weekend day and the shining sun increased the traffic and.... ;)

Such beautiful scenery. I'm jealous.

I looked the lane filtering in Italy at every stop light as the bikes and scooters went to the front and broke fast when the light turned green. Thought it might be a little difficult on the concours with the cases. May bewhy many over there run to cases.
Beautiful scenery and great vids. Nice

In Italy we go to very front row at a red traffic light with ANY bike, provided that the passages aren't too narrow...
Thus, with the bags mounted we just pay more attention but we try to reach the "pole position" anyway!
;) :D

Quite a few bikes run just the left bag to make filtering easier.
