Ballot Measures in layman's terms
« on: October 24, 2012, 05:53:57 PM »
First of all I do not want to get in any political battles :battle:

I am looking at the Oregon's voters' pamphlet and it sucks at explaining the measures. Does anybody know of a site that is not partial on these measures and just explains them plain and simple?

Side note: Did you know there were six choices on the ballot for president? If you watch TV you would think there is only two.

Just give it to my wife, she fills out mine and just tells me where to sign...  :)

I haven't even looked at the thing yet.  I try to put it off until the last week.  I find it too depressing...  :(

I always vote no on all ballot measures. If it's really important, then it will come back agaain. My representatives should have already taken care of the measure -- the cowards don't want to be held accountable, so they pass things on to the people.

There are only two choices.  One of the other 4 might make you feel better, but they are just a wasted vote. ;)

Voting for one of the two main parties is the like voting for the same thing in a different package.

Holding your nose and voting is wasting a vote. Its like drilling for oil-we should already be doing it. We should have already sent the R&Ds packing. The sooner its done the better.

I agree.  Doesn't seem that anything is getting done with the present batch of scoundrels.
