OK, obviously a personal choice but I've seen both ways and was wondering what others thought. I wear old fashioned goggles and an open face helmet when I ride the Triumph, my question is, are the goggles straps supposed to go around the helmet on the outside or do you wear them against your head with the helmet going over the straps? Some of the old helmets have snaps in the back to wear them outside, mine doesn't, and lately I've seen many retro riders wearing them inside. Just wondering thats all, kind of silly question.
Yes, I agree, I wear them outside and flip them down around my neck, I can also flip them up and leave them attatched to the helmet and remove them together. Why would you wear them inside other than keeping the helmet lines clean say if you have a retro helmet with stripes or graphics?
Theres a company, Duluth Company or some such, they sell what they call, "plumber proof" shirts with really long tails to prevent those uncomfortable situations nobody wants to see.
I say outside. It just makes more sense to me to be able to take my goggles off without having to undo my helmet. Plus, you don't have a strap adding an annoying line of pressure on your head.
When I used to wear goggles I also wore them under the helmet. If I wore them outside the helmet they didn't seem to seal as well around my eyes and I would get a lot of wind and dust in my eyes.
