Damn, one of my most favorite writers of all time, his character Mitch Rapp was a one man counter-terrorist army. Flynn's books warned of the rise of fanatical fundamentalist Islam and as such, he was not very popular with a few folks and fellow writers, Lee Child being one of them. To me, his writing was just that, books to read and enjoy as entertainment and to pause and reflect on the "what if". Important to me as a first responder. He was 47 and had prostate cancer.
