Stuck seat
« on: December 16, 2012, 05:56:01 PM »
I need help with releasing my stock seat.  I took off the seat to check the rear brake fluid level and then put the seat back on.  Somehow the middle brackets did not engage, so the middle of the seat is floating, but it is locked and now I cannot turn the key in the seat lock to release the seat.  Is there any trick to do this?

I think I did something like this before but I do not remember how I managed to turn the key in the lock to release the seat.

I got it to release by gently pushing on the back of the seat while turning the key.   :)

- insert key.

- push down HARD onto the rear portion of the seat.

- turn key.
