Got all my gear on, threw a leg over my new baby, started her up, put it in gear, the bike died. WTF? I did this same thing maybe 5 times.  :o There's something wrong with my brand new bike!

Well, last week I filled up with gas then pulling out of the gas station I stopped for a car that was coming and when I put my foot down there was nothing there but air due to the hole I had stopped next to.  Once I realized there was no stopping the inevitable, I rolled off and out of the way with moves much like those of a ninja (at least in my mind).  The bike, however, did not land as gracefully as I and busted the right side mirror.  >:(

- I REALLY hate to admit this one. Is the side stand up before I put it in gear. Um, never mind.    :-[

Even though I feel like an idiot, it is an excellent feature.

Been there...done that, Simon. Did more damage than just the mirror, though.

It very rarely snows in my part of the country. However, a couple of years ago, we awoke to about 8 or 9 inches of the white stuff on the ground. For some reason, I decided it would be fun to take my KLR for a spin. Took me mere seconds to get it about ten feet out of the garage, downhill, where it promptly bogged down in the snow...then another twenty minutes to get it back UPHILL into the garage, with the wife laughing at me the whole time! Slipping, sliding, pushing, spinning, falling...I coulda sold tickets, LOL!

Snow is not one of the "dual" sports I guess.
