Down on power?

Back in the early spring I installed full exhaust, PCV and a K&N filter. For several weeks this thing was a beast. The front end would come up anytime I held WOT in 1st past about 4000 rpm. I took it to a local shop that put it on the dyno and "tuned" the PCV. It has felt down on power ever since. I have tried swapping back to the map I had in the PCV before the dyno but can't really tell any difference. Nothing else has changed on the bike since then. I was out riding the other day and played around trying to get the front end up like it used to but I just wouldn't lift. I could "rock" it in first and it would come up but not just holding WOT.
Anything I should be looking into or checking for? The only difference is the weather. Now it is hot and muggy. Back in the spring it was pretty cool and dry.

I forgot one thing that has changed, tires. I went from the stock stones to PR3's with a 190-55 in the rear. I'm sure the slightly taller 55 would reduce the lifting a little but I wouldn't think it would completely eliminate it.

Couple of things,  when did you change tire??? Same time as dyno??
After??, the tire is gonna make a difference, not sure how muck, but will make a difference on torque, may want to check with dyno tech and make sure everything is good, did you get a print out of dyno results??  I would pro ab ly do that first, other things to try is un hook neg. Battery terminal for a minute to reset ECU then try loading previous tune.  I hope you save your dyno tune.

Didn't change tire until July. Felt it was down before the tire change but hadn't proved it out until the other day. I still have all my PCV maps on my laptop. I guess it can't hurt to reset the ECU. I forgot to mention in OP that mileage has been terrible as well. Display has been running 38-42 most of the year. Actual mileage has been running 32-36. Last tank was only 28mpg. I got 25+ on my track day back in July.

Pure guess but it sounds like the tuner made things way too rich in the lower/mid range.  Plug in the MAP ya had before, see what happens.

The tuner may have messed things up You should be able to compare two tunes On your laptop See what they look like. The higher the numbers the Richer the tune It does sound like it's running way too rich.  If that's the case the tuner needs to correct it. Because you can't beat a good dyno tune

I have swapped maps back to before the dyno guys worked on it but I can't tell any real difference between the two maps. I keep thinking about loading both maps and make them switchable with a toggle switch to see if I can feel a difference on the fly. I know the dyno guys just tuned for a straight 13.5:1 AFR. I would think there is more HP to be had by tuning it to max power versus an arbitrary fixed ratio.
I have found another shop that wants to dyno it but I'm guessing they really just want my $$$$.

Do you think the seasonal weather could have that much effect? When I first swapped all the parts it was 50's and dry. Now it is '80's and humid.

Just to clarify, the dyno tuning was done back in March so I have had this feeling of lower power since then. I guess it just got to bothering me with the recent drop in mileage.

Not Silly....  How many miles on the bike? Maybe the fuel pump should come apart and clean that sock/screen in the bottom of it. Fuel Injectors ever had some cleaner run thru them?

This is the difference and I noticed the same thing with mine... Huge difference in power when it is hot out compared to cooler temps.. When it is cooler out the front end comes up so fast that I really have to be careful rolling on the throttle but when hot out I can nail the throttle as fast as I want to and the front end barely if at all comes up. 

The weather is the difference... Guaranteed!!

Key words above.  I really do appreciate the Auto Tune, things stay consistent regardless of temps.  Did the tuner enable the accelerator feature?  Word has it this is a no no.

If the shop did activate the accelerator feature, they never told me about it. I wish I could have used Auto Tune. The exhaust didn't come with a bung for the O2 sensor and it is a full titanium exhaust system. I wouldn't trust local bike shop to weld on titanium to add a bung. It would have to go to a specialist to weld and even then I'd have to find a titanium bung to fit the O2 sensor. It has been getting down into the high 50's occasionally in the morning. Maybe need to make a run on the way to work one day to see if it is the weather.

BTW, the bike only has 5000 miles on it and the filter was installed back when it had about 1000 miles on it.

I agree.  Cooler weather has always made my bikes (and cars) much happier.

Titanium bungs are available from places like Bazzaz and others. A competant machine shop should be able to tig weld it for you. Autotune is great.

Try unplugging the PC and see what it does. That won't cost you anything and it might help you see what is wrong.
