Title: ZZR1200 shock questions
Post by: hlh1 on August 11, 2011, 05:50:00 AM
I just did a search for info on the ZZR1200 shock and didn't find anything.  Guess we lost all the info in the site crash.

What's required to make this work on the C10?  Is is a good upgrade?  Is the ride height changed?  Are any adapters required?  Is preload and dampning done remotely and easy to do like the stock shock?

1) What's required to make this work on the C10?  2) Is is a good upgrade?  3) Is the ride height changed?  4) Are any adapters required?  5) Is preload and dampning done remotely and easy to do like the stock shock?

1) Very little; grind the top mount of the shock down a mm, 1 lower bushing and 1 lower bolt from the ZZR...
2) For the money none better than the C14 shock.
3) Just a little bit higher; less than an inch.
4) See # 1 above.
5) Yes; can be even easier depending on where you mount the remote control.

I bought one from Sroby. I put it on and didn't tell the wife, on her first ride she asked what I did. She loved it. Around half an hour, once the tools are rounded up.

You didn't search very hard or you would have found the FAQs.
