The slide occurred March 22. We have him in our site March 24th at 9:52am. According to his profile, he doesn't locate himself in that area either. He may be down there, though, helping with the rescue efforts.
I'm getting a little worried myself.

Got an email from him this morning. He's having too much fun and this is limiting his time to peruse the forum. I've uploaded some pics he took while on his trip.
3800 miles into an ADV ride. Living the good life. Monument Valley, Valley of the Gods, and Painted Rock for our campsite tonight. If you dont mind share the pics!! I get back Sunday and pack for the Desert 100 which I leave for on Wednesday. So my internet time is limited..

It is so easy to do FB on the phone, sadly, the pics don't do much justice. Join me, honestly, no politics or BS allowed on my page, just positive words and lots of motorcycle stuff!!

Heck, I haven't even posted on ADV Rider in going on 3 weeks, and this was an ADV ride ;D
I had no idea about the mudslides until last night when I spoke briefly with my wife, shocked at the damage. No news, no TV, just my buddy, his girl friend, 3 bikes, and 2 cameras. Life is indeed a privilege and I am taking full advantage of it.
Not sure if I shared this-I am working at becoming a fun motorcycle blogger, www.sop-dirt-rider.com (http://www.sop-dirt-rider.com) Not much there yet as time and the learning curve, I have goals of doing some writing for ADV Rider and I figured the best way to learn is by writing, so I took the plunge. If you ever get bored or run low on reading material, check me out.
