Greetings,
I think my pick of cans is the Vance & Hines CS One for my 2011....... The website does not mention 2011; but I think the right part number for black is 43511.
Anyone put one on a 2011 that can confirm?
Thanks in advance,
Z

The CS One for the 2008 fits all years C-14.
They have put them on 2010, and they fit the 2011.
-
they're on back order. i would like to know the noise level at cruising speeds, on diff exhaust.
-
I cannot hear my CS One at cruzing speeds. Now, WOT is a different story.
-
I like the way they look, never heard one though.
-
I like the way they look too but didnt like the build quality or the sound, sold mine.
-
I like the looks, build quality and sound of mine ;D
-
Such a hard decision!! :hitfan:
I like the looks of the CS One the best; but, can't say that I don't like others almost as well.
At the risk of rehashing a similar thread; I'll put it out there, Has anyone done a definitive study on Db ratings of different brands and compared relative to stock?
Thanks in advance!!

Thanks Doc.....
Looks like you loose the stock heat deflector with the new pipe............
-
I bet they arent really on backorder.....probably has more to do with their junk build quality. ::) Muzzy......2 Bros......Holeshot.....Leo Vince and Area P are the only ones to go with.

What stock heat deflector?
-
i had the area p on my 2008, got loud. there are just no real choices for the sound the concours should have and i'm not talking about zx14 sound. I might try the muzzy or holeshot, if i decide to install a muffler.
man i just want to be heard when i pull up beside or close to an auto.

Interesting......also very unlikely, especially due to the fact that AREA P uses the best packing "silent sport" that money can buy.

What stock heat deflector?
+1... ???
-
My '11 has a heat deflector / guard bolted on two studs over the slip joint......
After listening to the Youtube and online sound bytes of what I could find, and riding last night..... I think I like quiet too......
An ECU tune might move up the list................

Take a look at the Leo Vince SBK. There is a video on YouTube somewhere, just not sure at this second. It's the quietest (according to pipecity.com rep) and comes with the dB reducer already installed (which can be removed if you want louder). The dB reducer for the CS One is about $35-40 extra.
Having said that, I will likely go with the V&H with the reducer when I decide to drop the money.

I recieved the following reply from Vance and Hines today after I sent them an email asking them if they could produce a quieter version of the CsOne:

At the moment there are no plans of making something quiet, but we do take customer’s request in to consideration. I will forward this to our R&D department as a request and will keep you on our email list to inform you if we do come out with something.

I'd encourage you to send them an email and let them know you are interested in a quieter slip on for the Concours.

NO mention of the quiet insert?
Strange. someone on here had purchased the insert.
It was $50 direct from V&H

I know Two Bros has and insert, V&H does too?
-
Yes they at least used to offer one.
-
I know of a distributor in WA that carries in on their website for 49 bucks, no mention of in the V&H site, and no Youtube's,,,,,,,, I'd like to hear it.........
Here it is, pretty good price too................. http://www.morepoweracing.com/kiwo2l11743374/Exhaust/Motorcycle-Exhaust/Vance-&-Hines/Vance-&-Hines-Sport/Kawasaki/Concours-14/2009-2010/c-1-71-73-4605-4608-4660-47843-47844/ (http://www.morepoweracing.com/kiwo2l11743374/Exhaust/Motorcycle-Exhaust/Vance-&-Hines/Vance-&-Hines-Sport/Kawasaki/Concours-14/2009-2010/c-1-71-73-4605-4608-4660-47843-47844/)

Just received my new polished stainless CS1 and it does come with a heat shield for the area under your foot. It's black (would have preferred chrome but oh well...). On the V&H web site, it shows the shield in pictures of the stainless version, but not with the black version. Not sure why.

Anyone have the insert or used it? If so, is it that much quieter? I like the looks of the CS one the best for the C14. The others I am considering Leo Vince or the Remus are too dam $$$.
-
I just put on the CSOne in Black on my 2010. I will be getting a 1 and 5/8 insert either tomorrow or Tuesday. Will install it and let everyone know how it works out. Thanks.

There's another thread where someone posted today that the CS One was louder with the insert than the Leo is without it.

I had the insert installed for a short while but in my opinion, it only makes the sound higher pitched. Not much quieter than the standard insert.
-
Ok all, have installed the 1 and 5/8 insert in the CSOne and it seems quite a bit quieter, although not as quiet as stock. Just started it in the garage but haven't gotten a chance to take it out on the road. Will let you know when I do.
