I've heard of coffee from monkey $hit but this is the first I've heard of it from elephants. Another example of "The Emperors New Clothes" in action.

I'm glad I just like coffee without the twists.  I can't stand coffee adulterated with different kinds of  :censored: in it.

I think Kopi Luwak coffee is the same thing but they run the beans through a cat rather than an elephant.

Must be where the expression "Full of beans" comes from- I guess it means there is a load of coffee on its way. :-)

Much as I'd like, I can't make this 'crap' up.

Oh yeah? Well I am a 'cream and sugar' guy and you are wrong! And where is your data? Can you prove black is best?

Oh wait, wrong forum.  :rotflmao:

And very literally correct in this context.
Nor do I have to pay money for a coffee at some franchised, overcharging, busy, "cafe". Ok, so one cup in the morning at home with the wife and with some French Vanilla (if we are out of Amarretto), then it's straight black after that.

I think the first two photos say it all.

So maybe people who own a cat(s) and have a litter box have been shoveling valuable little treasures into the garbage all this time?

It's a complete non starter for me when I read...Kopi Luwak is coffee prepared using coffee beans that have been subjected to ingestion and fermentation in the gastrointestinal tract of the Asian palm civet, which is called luwak in Indonesia. Caffeine content in both Arabica and Robusta luwak coffee is lower than in unfermented coffee.....What's the point.

Since it is ridiculously expensive and the luwak is a relatively small animal, some genius though, "just think how much more coffee we could process if we fed it to an elephant instead of some small cat!"

Well, that plus the cat droppings are more of a single serving size while the elephant droppings can service entire wedding banquets....

Wonder what an elephant coming off a good coffee buzz does?? ???
Or once they get the beast "hooked" on the caffeine, how do you retire him?
Remember, an elephant never forgets, so they say.

There's going to be a LOT of grumpy elephants waiting for their coffee in the mornings!
