Air filter
« on: May 18, 2012, 08:26:27 PM »
Did anybody try to put individual conical type air filter on a connie 10. It would be easier to remove and reinstall the carbs.

and maybe a better air flow.

Thank's   André

It has been tried but you will never get the bike to run 'right'

Actually the Concours has too much airflow hence the 2 minute mod from SiSF which cuts the excess airflow but does need new jets to match the airflow.

   Look here;    http://sites.google.com/site/shoodabenengineering/

also use search  either  2MM or 2 minute mod  for more info.

Expect to rejet the carbs if you go with individual filters for each one.  You'll end up with different jets in each carbs because the airflow will not be the same for each with individual filters.

Sure, many have tried, few with success.
Dont do it unless you want your bike to run worse.
