Well Feb. is history, is anyone thinking about trying to get a meet-up point for some chats about the upcoming riding season? I can put my ideas together for locations and dates, maybe make it a poll of both to see the interest.
Please add some of your ideas here, I will organize them and maybe we can get together before the heavy riding starts.
I would do a wrench session here in Springfield, if any might be interested for sometime in May.
Lets try this this year, we all are not getting any younger you know.

sounds like a winner. my new job has a lot less stress, and a lot less overtime ...unlike my last one... :'(
I am hoping to get my new garage in order, and would be interested in doing a tech session day here....but it will be when the weather is "consistantly' better than right now.
Keep me informed, and shoot me a p/m when you guys have an idea.....I still have designs on getting an OHIO based National rally in the works, but need to clear out some "bones" from the closet prior to making a full commitment.... ;)

I would be interested, just south of Dayton here. New to the Connie community.Just got mine in October and ready for the riding season.Would be nice to meet a few of you and maybe learn some tips on the Concours.

How does everyone feel about next Sat. That would be the 10th of March. Anyone want to volunteer a location.

Good idea, but I have an idea you are new to trying to get the Ohio Connie riders to a get together.
Our riders need many months to consider these get-togethers. Alot of soul searching, advanced research on weather, road conditions, scenic views from the stop sight.
I like the idea of this Sat., but as you see, the research has begun, and reply threads will be forthcoming.
In a few weeks. ;)
Please believe me on this one, you just have to wait for it.

I very much in favor of an Ohio tech session in May. If work is not an issue, you know I'm there, which means, any Saturday except the 19th and any Sunday except the 13th. If you have it, they will come.

Well.....
Judging from a few responses, it looks like a May Wrench Session is in the relm of possibility.
I will do this if I am still in Ohio in May. I am entertaining a potential contract job offer in Hampton, Va.
My son has taken a Firfighting / Paramedic position at the Navy Shipyards down there, and one of his bosses is needing an onsite chef for the 2 work crews that stay on premises for 6 months at a time.
If this pans out I will be in Virginia from the first of May till close to end of October, but we are still in negotiations for pay, room and board and things. Not to mentiuon ride time.
But I will keep updating and have no trouble hosting a Wrench Session here at my Condo in Springfield, Ohio. Keep posting ideas please, I know the research is knee deep now.

I will as long as It isn't dumping the rain they are calling for. Widley scattered is not a problem if the temps stay up there. Lets see what Fri forcast for the weekend says, just might need a ride down south.

I'm up for a May tech session as long as work doesn't get in the way. Battery on the Blue Monster died yesterday on US 52 just north of Chilo so I don't expect to be up until early next week.
I'm planning a major maintenance on the Blue Monster the week after Easter to celebrate 50k miles. Perhaps I should wait a month to see what's up.

I'd be game on Sunday.....weather(rain) permitting, hate riding in it, if avoidable.. I'll head anywhere....love the early spring--Work Sat till 12:00 if that works.

Well Holy Crap, if we keep up this weather here in Ohio like we are presently having, a wrench session might be a month early then normal. ::) ::)
I am definatly making a run on the Blue Ridge Parkway on my trip down to Hampton, Va to see my son and a talk with a guy about a contract job for a spell, but a late April WS might be in order.
So keep doing your research and soul searching, and I'll keep you updated.

Hey guys, sorry for butting in. I'm originally from Springfield and just wanted to say how great it is to see some buckeyes getting together. I wish we would have some tech time and rides set up down here in Houston. I was thinking of riding up there late summer.

Give these two Saturdays some consideration, I am thinking a Sat. late morning start, say 10am, any work to be done up and through lunch, and some riding after 1 pm or so. I usually plan routes that take you back in your general directions home, so we will see how this week pans out and try to get a date set.

Hey All-
Sounds great-the sooner ya'll pick a Saturday I can adjust my work schedule and try to make it...sadly I more often than not work on Sats,if worse comes to worst I can hook up for the ride! Lemee know-Southern Ohio is always a hoot!! Actually any non-glaciated part with a 3 digit road designation is typically great fun 8)
