Title: I guess I need to vent and dont know the proper place.
Post by: Tele130 on June 18, 2011, 11:37:35 AM
I have a '06 that had 3,250 miles on it when the original petcock went south. That was this past October. I replaced it with one from Murphs. That one is bad too!!!!!!!!  Now Kawasaki said it's not a covered item but they would reace it for $50.00. That's a whooping $13.00 off. I bet if my motor had hydrolocked because of the BRAND NEW bad petcock I'd just be out a new motor. Thanks Mama Kaw! :cannon:

Sounds like you need the petcock retrofit.

I bet it's the same O-ring as the ZRX....Ask kwick, it's easy to fix.

Bergmen petcock retrofit. Takes about 1/2 hour to turn your factory vacuum operated petcock into an old fashioned manual unit, so easy even my idiot brother-in-law the cop can do it. The good news is if you for some reason do not like it, it can be reversed in no time using all the original equipment.
