Is there a specific piece on the windshield mechanism that is broken or bent?

The arms that hold the windshield bent, it is a fairly expensive assembly.

The bottle is for one of the 4 wheel projects, I would need another re-flash to let the bike breathe that.
The new headlights are much brighter than I thought they would be, especially for lights with a 3 inch lens.

this is a very slow project because I only have 6 hours a week to work on it
I got a sheet of cold rolled steel and started on a prototype. I creased it between the headlights so it wont be totally flat on the front. I beat the bends with a hammer and leather sand bag, I got a chance to try out the English wheel too to start smoothing it out. It is extra wide because I want to wrap it around the top of the dash and around the sides to mount under the mirrors. So far not bad for a first try to see what happens.
I'm going to use 2 1/2 inch muffler pipe from the engine air intake boots to openings in the front of the cowl next to the headlights, I was going to use the factory intake ducts but this will work much better.
You can also see my new windscreen mounts.

I took a weeks vacation at work because I want to get it rideable. I scrapped the first design, I could not make it symmetrical so i started over. the project went from what I wanted to do to what I could make in a week. I made this one out of 4 pieces that I welded together. I made them mirror images of each other to keep it symmetrical, two front pieces and 2 side pieces just for the front section. I had to make it taller than I wanted to get the air intakes to fit, and I decided to use some 2 1/2 inch to 3 inch header collectors I had laying around for some velocity stacks for the intake air. The 3 inch LED bus headlights are super bright and have a great pattern on the road. I added some amber LED's on the front forks for added visibility. My Copper Dawg windshield was all I had left so that got used too. I still need to find a right side saddle bag because the back side of it exploded in the crash but the cover survived. Of course that is the only piece they don't sell by it's self.
The next project is replacing the very long radiator hose on the right side of the bike with some custom bent steel tube that is shorter and higher up. I also need to build the side and upper covers to cover the wiring mess. They will also be smaller pieces welded together because the fabrication is much easier. I am using 20 guage steel, very strong and light but still easy to bend and holds its shape well.
The bike drives great still, it goes straight and has no wobbles so all is well there. It actually seems to make even more power on the freeway now with the unrestricted ram air..
I don't think it is possible to make it a naked bike, there is just too much wiring and stuff to deal with. It may not be as pretty as it used to be but at least I can still ride it now. It has kind of a Mad Max/Frankenstein styling now.
