Sena SMH10, can I pair to passenger and music?
« on: April 09, 2012, 09:18:17 AM »
I have two SMH10 devices and I use them to talk to my passenger on long trips. Can I also pair to my cell phone and listen to music? If so, what is the pairing order? Will my passenger be able to hear the music too?

You can pair music to the Sena, priority wise, phone will override the music. I cant remember where intercom factors in with the priority. After the phone disconnects it will go back to music. Unfortunately you can't bluetooth the music or phone conversation to two headsets, only intercom between. My music is on my cellphone, so I'm only pairing one device. If you both want/can listen to the same tunes, you could hardwire with a y cable?

The only way that I know of for both users to listen to the same music would be to use the aux in plug and use a splitter on an MP3.

Priority to each device or function goes in this order:

HSP/HFP (Phone or GPS audio guidance**)
Intercom (Communication between SMH10s)
Stereo music by audio cable through MP3 jack of the SMH10
A2DP (wireless stereo music)
Keeping the economy going, one tank of fuel and two tires at a time.

You have to listen to a lot less Spice Girls if you each have your own music.  Plus, AVRCP doesn't work with aux in.
