I did NOT want to ride my bike home
« on: June 28, 2015, 09:57:38 AM »
Heads up, yesterday I visited Steve in Sunny FL today and he done a few things to his C14, and suggested Gary and I go ride it. He stressed try it out across all the RPMs.

GOBs more power down low (2k-6k), and smoother throttle 6K-up.  So smooth (not twitchy like my stock bike), and the only bike I've ridden that was throttle response as good as my fly-by-wire R1 bike was.

I wanted same done on my bike and he suggested he has a couple more things to sort first.

I didn't want to ride mine home after riding his d*mmit

^^^^MOB hit it with best answer yet.

Steve wouldn't tell me but he said he won't do it to my bike till he gets a few things sorted.  Almost unacceptable, wish i wouldn't have ridden his  ;D

I also got to ride Steves C14 Saturday, His C14 has the low end that a 1400 should !!. Also Very smooth with no twitchy throttle. Now that he is tinkering on C14's maybe they too will soon be running how they "shoodaben" from the factory

Been thinking seriously about a 1290 Super Duke R.  If Steve's update could bring the 14 somewhere close, it would save me $17+K, I don't have for another motorcycle, at this time.

Not that I would do this...

How are you going to remove the excess poundage to make the Concours like the Super Duke?

Mostly responded so I can see the magic elixir Steve has poured into/onto his Concours.

I recently was contacted by the KTM design studio to comment on their new 2016 prototype big bike. there were 4 of us and we spent about 4 hours answering questions on what we thought about this new bike. As I am sworn to secrecy I cannot go into details but folks on this forum will be mightily interested in whats coming soon!
Don'y buy a KTM quite yet!
