New Member From Anchorage Alaska
« on: June 28, 2021, 12:21:36 AM »
I just picked up this 2006 beauty with just over 12,000 miles. She just needed a good wash and fluids changed. Any suggestions for making changes for a taller rider. 6’4” 240lbs. What options have you taller riders made that are absolute must haves. One thing I noticed right away was I would like to adjust the handlebars and get a little more legroom. Thanks.

Welcome Tarsyn ;D
I'm 6'4" and 400lbs.
2" bar risers help lots. Either that or Murphskits sell a tubular bar adapter.
The best screen is the Rifle system but $$$.
Madstad are also supposed to be good, but I just can't stand the looks.
Murphs also sells peg lowering kits and other peg lowering kits are available via eBay etc.

I hope your credit card is in good shape.  :rotflmao:

The more I ride this bike, I like it. I know I definitely need a taller windscreen, the buffeting is just too much. I also will get the foot lowering pegs.
