what kind of what? not sure what you are asking?
it is a 2012 Kawasaki Concours 1400 and is Arabian Red in color
and looks like this

I think he was asking what kind of touring bike you are going to get next?
Good luck on the sale.
It's really too bad you can't test ride most of the Japanese bikes before you buy them.
-
Test rode a 2012 Roadglide Ultra and an Ultra Limited. We both really liked the roadglide ultra. It handled very well and was very comfortable.I reallly like the power of the Connie but like they say " If momma isn't happy ain't nobody happy"
-
Beautiful bike - good luck with your sale.
-
Luv the colour!

Touring bike = Gold Wing

Touring bike = Gold Wing
HD ::)
+1
Goldwingers and BMWs crush HD on comfort, performance, and price
-
Have looked at both and have rode the new BMW 1600 GTL and liked it but a lack of dealer support in my area and the maintenance costs on the bike are too much for me.The goldwing just didn't feel like a good fit for me.As far as the Harley touring bikes, you should really ride one before you make an assumption about them. I was quite suprised about the comfort and ride quality and the price is very comporable and the dealer support is very good. I will say that I do not care for the batwing fairing as it seems to add too much weight on the forks but the frame mounted fairing on the roadglide handled great and just seemed like a better fit for me. To each his own.
-
A RoadKing was the only bike I could get my wife comfortable on. Then I crashed it. She won't ride the Connie. Or it might be me. ::)

Good luck with the sale, the Roadglide is the only HD I would own and they have made a lot of improvements in the last 3 years.
-
I like the Roadglide better than any other Harley. The funny thing is that all of the salesmen say that the Roadglide has the least amount of sales because people want the old style look. They do not care about if it handles better.I thought it handled great compared to the fork mounted fairing bikes, which makes sense.I have heard that the fork mounted fairings weigh about 30lbs. I know the counter steering was very sluggish in comparison.

Found out it is just not the bike for me, will probably go with a touring cruiser.Am asking my payoff of 14,500. I have added the Corbin trunk, fender extender, bar risers with GPS mount, tank protector, bag protectors, Cox radiator guard, and Grip puppies. Bike has under 1000 miles on it and has had the 600 mile service already performed.Bike has not been dropped or wrecked. Bike is located in southwest Ohio near Dayton, Ohio. If interested I will give you more contact information.
Want to sell me your topcase?
-
Give Victory a shot, they are really starting to take some Harley riders away.
-
I have looked online at the new Victory touring bikes.Maybe If I sell the C14 I will go check one out in person. There are a couple of dealers fairly close to me in the Cincinnatti area.
-
I rode a 2011 Victory Cross Country a couple months ago and it blew away the Harley Road Glide that I rode a time or two (2010 that my buddy wanted me to see how "great" it was ::) ). Much smoother, more power and the fit and finish was also superior IMHO.
-
I really like the looks of the Corbin Trunk. I have the GIVI and like it but I think the Corbin just gives a much nicer appearance. Good luck with the sale. I will also be listing my 2011 For Sale in the next couple of weeks. Good luck.
-
I have a new lowered price on the Concours. Wanting to give someone a good deal on it instead of trading it in at the dealership. $12,500
-
that is a beautiful bike, I am in love with my 08 or I would consider going newer just for the color ...or the ABS. ;D Hope you get it sold to someone who really enjoys it.
I got to ride my buds new Victory Cross Country Tour this last weekend. If I had to have a big bagger that would be the one. Way bigger than my Mean Streak but beautifully balanced and the motor pulls really well. Had it out on the Illinois TOllway and it was impressive. Cases are huge and amenities are nice. I Liked it much better than anything in the Harley line I have been on. He tried Harley and even tested the Vaquero/Voyager in the Kawi line but he saved some cash going with the Victory ( and IMHO got a much better product) that he put into gear and bag liners.. 8).
-
New price posted on the concours, give me a call if interested.
-
Interested in separating the Corbin trunk? What rack is under - the stock plastic piece or an upgraded unit?
I have the exact same bike - sans trunk.
-
Case is already gone.
-
Thanks for the tip! Good luck with the sale.
As far as durability and how it perfoms - how do you like it compared to other luggage?
-
It was very sturdy compared to the factory Kawasaki case.
-
Thanks for the review - they are priecy, but when you factor in the cost of a GIVI + a new rack (since the Kaw version isn't great), it isn't that out of line considering that the trunk is built with the same lines to match the C14 and is color-matched.
Thanks for the pictures - at least I know what the whole thing will look like.
GLWS!

I am selling my 2012 Concours in excellent condition with 2700 miles on it. The bike is located in southwest Ohio. It has a front fender extender, Cox radiator protector, Murph's handlebar risers with RAM ball mount, grip puppies, and side case protective film. I am asking my payoff of $12,500. I can be contacted through my email at "motogogo66@yahoo.com". Please do not email me and tell me you can buy one cheaper somewhere else and offer me some ridiculous lowball price. If you can find one cheaper and in the shape mine is in you should buy it. Sorry if I sound like an ass, it is not my intent, but after some of the responses from craigslist one tends to get a tad bitter. Thanks for looking.
-
GLWS......yeah CL attracts allot of scum it seems, price seems about right to me but bikes are moving slow.
-
Check out the Vulcan Voyager 1700. Definitely out performs the Harley Davidsons at a fraction of the price. Love mine and have put almost 35,000 miles on it in two years of ownership. It serves as my wife hauling bike. We have had many enjoyable weekends on this machine.

I can even carry a cooler on the hitch rack for when you just have to carry your cold ones with you.

Just wondering how you were asking 12,500 back in May and then later you say new price, and now you say you will sell it for payoff of 12,500. Wouldn't your payoff be less now than what it was in May?
-
I know it looks confusing but I could not get my original post to delete so I could get my new price at the top of the thread. So in order to get it at the top I had to edit the original posting, sorry for the confusion.
-
Once other posts are in the thread you cannot delete your starting post. However, you should be able to modify it.
-
I am dropping the price to $12,300 if it does not sell at this price over the winter I am planning on just trading in on a new bike in the spring and taking the hit on a new roadglide ultra.(http://)

C14 to a Hardly Ableson.........yuck and why? :o You are going to lose your butt at a Harley dealership on a trade in, your price is good and I am shocked it hasn't sold yet.
-
I hate to say it, because it hurts and because it has been said before on this forum, but the resale on these bikes is crap. I was shocked and sick to my stomach when selling mine. I know how nice this bike is and so does everyone else on this forum, but the value of these bikes to the public is sad. I had almost $16K tied up into my bike with the farkles that I added. I thought I got a good deal on my bike when I purchased it new as well. At the end of the day, after selling my bike (16 months old) and all the farkles, I will only be getting around $11,600 back out of it. I know you don't get your money back and I never expected that but after having it for sale all summer both locally and on each forum, there is little interest in these bikes for any price other than a steal. Sorry and sucks.
-
A lot of it has to do with the economy too. Not real easy to get a used bike loan right now.

Actually, he might do better trading in at a Harley dealership. They will go by the book instead of knowing that most of these bikes are sold at a discount. Of course the fall is no time to be trading or selling bikes, but definitely a good time to be buying bikes.
-
If I trade the bike in I will only have to pay taxes on the difference between the two bikes. I know it will not be alot but every bit helps. I really want to like the bike or I wouldn't have bought it.Another victim of the no test ride dealership. I have problems with the grips making my hands go numb and pressure on the wrists, yes i have installed bar risers and grip puppies but to no avail the problem still exists.I also have arthritis and am sure that it doesn't help my ergo situation.
Me and the Mrs. took a long testride on the Roadglide Ultra and we both really felt comfortable the whole time. I cannot get very comfortable on the Connie and I do not want to keep putting money into the bike that I cannot get back just trying to get it there and still not be happy with it. Motor wise it is an outstanding machine, effortless on the interstate and smooth as silk, just not the bike for me.
Like they say "live and learn" hopefully.

Sounds like helibars and a flatter seat (russell day long) if your tall enough would fix you riding position. But, if you are more a cruiser than a sport touring rider you will be happier on a cruiser. My only real problem with the connie is that I have a very difficult time going the speed limit on this bike. I have looked down and found myself going 20 over on many occasions.
-
I would hate to put more money into the bike and then still not be happy with the fit and just delay the inevitable. The bike I had before the Connie was a Harley street bob and I miss the cruiser ergos. My next bike will definately be a cruiser.

There's another reason to ride a harley. I couldn't find a kawa dealer that would allow even a trip around the parking lot. Broward Motorsports where I purchased mine from wouldn't allow me to start the bike. I had had two C10's prior, so in my idiocy, I figured what I knew what I was getting into. wrong. The only way I could ride the bike was after I purchased it, I could ride it for ten miles. Well, I'm not even settled in until after ten miles. My hands went numb at 15 miles. So, I guess I bought the thing. Like an idiot, I didn't check the price on the paperwork. The salesgirl thought the suggested price was what I was agreeing to pay. So, I'm way upside down if I decide to sell.
I rode a 2012 electra glide classic the other day, the salesman suggested I take it out for an hour and "enjoy myself." Boy, did I. My hands were no longer numb, my butt was happy, very little noise and buffeting around my head (I always wear a modular or 1/2 helmet, skull cap and 33db earplugs.) All I needed was a back rest and I could ride north again.
I have a love/hate relationship w/ HD. I put about 40K miles in three years on my 2005 ultra glide from Key West to Canada almost always with my wife aboard. cruise on, stereo rocking and comfy. Then again, I had to tighten and loctite everything down. I lost the gear shift lever at 2:30 am on I-26 in South Carolina. In the rain. I spent eight hours and severely blistered feet looking for that wretched thing. It's also a 60 year old design and here in south Florida, you WILL get blistered thighs in the summer or scarred calves if you get too close to the exhaust. (yes, I wear pants when I ride. amazing how the heat will carry through denim...)
I rented a BMW R1200RT from www.rentmymotorcyle.com (http://www.rentmymotorcyle.com) just west of Palm Beach Gardens. I'd kill for one of those. Like others have mentioned, big $$ and no network. From here I would have to got to Ft. lauderdale or north to Daytona/Orlando
Now, some good for the connie> It's stupid fast; like addicting fast. Almost telepathic: you think, you're there. Yesterday. If I'm not paying attention to the speedo, it will swing well into the triple digits. I'm gonna have to ride less agressively to avoid any LEO's hunting me down.
FWIW: Sorry for hijacking the thread, this was a little irritating for me.

I am dropping my price to $12,000.00 Bike is in excellent condition.(http://)
-
One thing you are up against at the end of the model year is a huge drop on the prices from dealers remaining 2012 inventory and Kawi is having a zero % financing no money down for 48 months thru the end of Dec.
If you are paying cash you can get a brand new one for $12,798 here in NC. It's a grand more if your doing the zero percent financing.
Good luck selling.

Still have your Connie for sale?
-
Yeah he kept the bike and got a new wife instead....
Better sent him a PM I could be WRONG. ;)
