When I first started riding, I used to go on long day rides (several hundred miles at a clip or more)...still do.   My wife thought I was having an affair...I was....with the bike.

This actually wouldn't happen with me. If my bike won't start, I would cancel dinner plans and I'll be out in the garage all hours wrenching on it until it does start. My wife would know exactly where my mind is at. She would still be pissed off but there would be no mistake about what I was thinking.
