You need to have the number from the package that the fob comes in, to program it to the KiPass ECU.
Keeping the economy going, one tank of fuel and two tires at a time.

And if you find one that has the original packaging, don't take it to that dealer. They will not have a clue on programming either!

Stupid sign is in the way.

If you find a dealer that will do it, get a fixed price on the labor.  It took my dealer about two hours because mine was the first he had done.  He ended up on the phone to Mama Kaw.  He charged me for 15 minutes.  Now that he knows how he says it takes about 10 minutes.
Keep it simple - if no one has shot at me or tried to blow me up it is a good day.

Takes 15 minutes start to finish when they know what to do. I "taught" my dealer, you could say, as mine was the first one they'd done this to and it involved multiple phone chats with somebody at the Kawie Mothership.

Just to clarify; the fob isn't programmed. The ECU is programmed to recognise the fob. For that reason you need the code that comes on the package the the fob is delivered in. There is no code on the fob itself. So if you don't have the original package when you buy a fob then you just wasted your money.

Speaking of fobs....and we were.  Anyone know what battery they take off hand?  I have a dead one at home, and would like to pick up a battery on the way home.

Not entirely... It still has other uses.

It sure does. Trust me, there's no work out like pushing a C14 that you can't start!  ;)
