I want to know how that stuff holds up. You are right for $7 why not.
hahahahah
because $7 worth of material and about $200 worth of time, doesn't warrant the effort when you have to peel the crap back off, and scrape,a nd scrape, and scrape some more; and curse, and do it right.....
just sayin'
Hopefully you used the "pre-dip" prep spray.....it's designed for adhesion enhancement....but the OEM powdercoating on the rims is a really slick and bulletproof coating....likely the prep wouldn't provide any "tooth" for it to bond to anyways.
https://www.dipyourcar.com/product.php?productid=40&cat=0&bestseller=Y There ARE some pretty robust paint finishes out there that would surely hold up better... and can still be touched up.
let us know how the next tire change goes....
the stuff is ok for bedliner, not so much for wheels....getting the tires off and powdercoating is the norm.
Guys that do powdercoating really curse folks that apply odd finishes to stuff they send for coating, because it turns a simple job for them, into a nightmare.
Now after I badmothed this stuff for rims....I'll come back and THANK YOU PROFUSELY for showing me the stuff, as it is PERFECT for those wanting to change they color of the bike, and or protect the factory paint job.....
on the website they show the color we all wanted.... KAW GREEN......
Looks like I'll be doing the "dip-my-bike" job when it warms up.....
