I cut my stock '09 screen very low, just above the dash.

It works, keeps me cool from just above the waist up, almost like riding a naked bike.
However, from the waist down only a small improvement?

I have the Zteves heat shields installed which do a nice job of blocking heated air on the ankles but the area where my knees touch still gets warm (of course!) so the low low shield allowing air movement in this area is significant, at least it is for me  :)
