Heel shifter
« on: April 03, 2022, 04:58:29 PM »
With my ankle trouble I am looking at an electric shifter but am also looking at the possibility of a heel shifter. Does any one know of such a thing? I may try fabricating something out of aluminum plate welded to the shifter arm (see photos) but would like some comments and suggestions. This design looks like it would work, but it interferes with the sidestand. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

Interesting.  I had not seen something like that before.
If the problem is you can't point your toe to go below the shifter knob, another thought might be to add a second shifter knob above where your toe already sits so you can just push up?

The issue is that I can't pull up, so I am limited to downward movements. I'm using my leg more than my ankle.
