Extra ket for a GIVI MONOKEY trunk?
« on: February 10, 2022, 12:28:37 PM »
Mine has an elaborate ket that must be cut with a router bit. Has anyone found a blank to make one??

I assume that you have one with the newer key style.

My Givi MAXIA 4 has this style. I just sent the code from the existing key to these guys and they sent me 2 keys that work perfectly.

However, since you are not in the UK you will need to search for "Givi SL key blank".
That should show you who supplies key blanks.

I just ordered two keys from the UK Company. They charged £7.95 for Worldwide   Royal Mail - International - Tracked   5 - 7 Working days.
After waiting three weeks to get cheap crap from China that does not work I don't mind paying that if the keys do in fact work.

I found I could order one from GIVI, $22 plus shipping and then the cost of cutting it. I cheated and made a brass key blank and had it cut at an ACE Hdwr. store. It works on one side but not the other, doesn’t matter as I can leave it in place and open/close the trunk without digging for a key. A bol;t holds the trunk to the rack so it can’t be stolen.  I’m a happy camper.
