Title: 2003 Ural Tourist (SOLD)
Post by: T Cro ® on May 03, 2012, 04:49:20 PM
Up for grabs is a highly customized 2003 CMSI Ural Tourist with a list of options and farkles that exceeds the capacity of my memory banks. I am the original owner of this bike and can tell you that I've put bucket loads of stainless steel hardware all over the bike and it has more chrome than "The Best of Sturgis H D" many extras like hemmed edge carpet in the sidecar and trunk as well as padded sidecar interior etc. You know how obsessive I am about my bikes. Bike only has 2,500 miles and has spent better than 90 % of its time under cover in a heated garage. Looks absolutely great and was running dam good when put away for the winter last year. Picture is not resent but the bike still looks as good today as it did in the picture and I will update as soon as I can. Looking for 4,300.00 OBO and I can assist with trailer delivery within a reasonable distance from Saint Joseph, MI...

Fire away with questions here or email me at teecro @ sbcglobal . net and we can talk in depth.....

Lowered price from 5,500.00 to 4,300.00

Do you think bike would be up for a 1200 mile trip with no problems?

I don't know if I would trust the back tire for another 1,200 miles but there is a spare tire/wheel mounted to the trunk that has never hit the ground as well as a new/unmounted tire that will go with. Would I trust the rest of the bike to go another 1,200 miles without break down? Yes... I did a compression test last year as I always do when I set the valves and it popped at 180 PSI which is like new spec. But do not expect this bike to do make pace on the interstate as it was never built for that kind of speed. The fastest I've ever seen it go was 73 MPH WFO.... But it will run at 55 to 60 MPH or about the same speed as an HD  :0  without complaint as long as the gas tank will carry it but it is in its absolute element at speeds under 55 MPH on back roads as it likes the smell of blacktop and cow poop.

Wow....

Well don't just stand there drooling all over the place; buy the dam thing.... Nothing better than a bike that can haul a couple wheels of cheese as well as a keg or two of beer...

If'n I didn't have a kid getting ready to go to college, I'd likely be on a plane to Missouri to take advantage of this.  I know they say the price of the lack of education is steep, but college is not all that far behind it.

Once you landed in Missouri were you planning on taking a taxi to Michigan?

Don't you dare put that imperialist flag on a product of the effort and the sweat of the great Soviet people!

Come on guys this is a great bike that needs another home. Consider this not only is it a great summer bike it makes a great all-season bike that is quite happy in a muddy field and is at home on a snow covered road with its tall narrow aggressive tires.

How does 4,300.00 sound?
