Ate at a great cafe, Joe's Place, in Fayetteville yesterday, but was on the RT.  Had to do a shakedown ride after replacing QD's on the fuel lines.  Anyone in SE or Central TX ever have a chance to go there, it's on the square on Hiway 159.  Worth the trip.  Get the grilled 12oz pork chop...I'll take the 14 next time.

I'm headed that was next weekend to ride the Ozarks. If I get to Fayetteville, I give it a try.

Sorry, this Fayetteville is in Texas, between Houston and Austin.  A friend goes to AR often, and says there lots of good eating up there, though.

Well OK then! Since I'm currently living in Austin, that will make a nice day trip.

Didn't realize you were living in Austin.  That is the thing about the site is different than others.  Just the nation is shown, and any of us can be located anywhere.

Take Hiway 159 out of the La Grange area, towards Bellville, and you will ride right to the Fayetteville square.   There is another cafe on the square, too, but the food is not as good as Joe's.

WOW, gumby, that was kinda harsh.  I'll make sure never to ask with out googling first.  ;D

Been a while since I felt like stopping Ditry Grrrl long enough for anything more than a tank of fuel, jerky, and water.  ;)

While out doing some http://www.tourofhonor.com/ things I decided to pull in the clutch and try the "oldest diner" in FL.

This one is a year old.  :-\

Dropped the camera after the shot.  :o
Wasn't on the memory card. Found it in the internal storage.  :D

Learned after it slid off the seat a second time recently where that pic was.

Was out yesterday, but ate at Taco Bell, and knew that wouldn't count.  Hopefully, next weekend ...tp

FWIW, the XXL nachos are fantastic, for a chain store.  tp

Went back to Fayetteville today to get a pic and more great food.  Inside and out looks like a small town bar and grill, but the food is amazing for any location, and they sell more different brands of beer than most places I have been.  Just cell phone pics, but seem to be viewable, kinda...Click on pics to enlarge.  tp  dd50

The men wearing their hats indoors is something not often seen in Texas, especially in small towns.  But strange enough, there are three in this pic.

IN Fayetteville?  Doubt it.  The unspoken rule about the wearing of hats indoors, is probably going the way of the dodo bird, even in small town Texas.

I hope I got this restaurant on a bad day.  ::)

The entrees sounded awesome but they couldn't rock a plate of nachos.
I'm a fool for Nachos.   ;)  And these were lame.   >:(
The salsa was tomato pastey.
I don't like to think how much that very average, less than average, meal cost me.  :(
Will not try again.  :thumbdown

I did get to spot another Concours as I was leaving!  :D
We shared a parking space.  ;)
I'm the one without the 'tater launcher.  ;D
