Had an opportunity to get my bike on a dyno today at a motorcycle event. One of the local dealers had one set up. Brothers from Bremerton if anyone is from Western WA. Anyhow, my bike had 1600 miles, KN air filter, PCV by Fuelmoto, Area P slip on (mid pipe and can), flyectomy. These mods produced 151 point something horsies. ;D Is this what other guys are seeing for power with these mods? I thought I would clear 155 HP. I guess that is for the fully piped...! ;) Torque wasn't provided and the graph is horsepower on the "y" and speed on the "x".
On another note, my HD put up 91 HP and 102 ft-lbs. Torque was provided for the HDs on the dyno because the operator placed a cable on the front cylinder spark plug wire. I don't know why that works. :-\
Also, the highest output bike put out 175 rear wheel HP! :o Newer ZX-14 with some mods...I didn't bother talking to the owner about the details.

Good numbers Rob! 150+ HP on this bike, is gettin' after it. My ZX14 (EDR tuned) layed down 183HP, 109TQ. I'm hoping my connie will end up 150-160.

Post your dyno chart up on this other thread Rob, that way we can build on that thread with which mods produce what etc... 8)

Wow! 183 hp! Impressive. I would realistically expect the Connie to be up around 155-160 hp with the correct mods (PCV, Full system, tuned, ect...). I suppose it might get higher if you start losing weight in the wheels, factory exhaust, ect... but with average mods around that 150-160 hp

This engine is supposed to produce 155 HP at the crank but only 137 or so at the rear wheel. So I would think 151 at the rear wheel is doing pretty good.

Full Area P, PC-V, AutoTune, Filter, Flyectomy... 150hp on dyno. Forget the brand. Dyno type will yield different numbers.
IF you do a before/after, use same TYPE of dyno, and same dyno if possible.

Overall weight of the bike does not affect the horsepower. It affects acceleration time, handling, braking, and fuel economy...

Those are awesome numbers, that shafty robs some power......interested to see what it would do with a chain.

Sort of, reducing unsprung weight has a greater effect on the bikes usuable power more so than simply reducing the weight.

Actually, I believe it's unsprung ROTATING mass that would show up on a dyno.
Unsprung weight can be bad.
Unsprung rotating weight can be worse.

Same mod's for mine. 151.23hp...Didn't get to do a before....
