I thoroughly enjoyed living in San Antonio for 4 years. Visiting Rudy's in Leon Springs on the weekends was a great time. And Fiesta Texas was loads of fun. (Yeah, I was still a kid then)

I love Texas.  I cannot wait until my duties in the grey frozen midwest are over so I can move back.
Yep, still riding the old one

Well I am glad to know that small states don't have idiots living there. Maybe I'll move there one day.

I think I will move to Detroit :o

My wife and I moved to the Detroit area in 1993 for some training and lived in Sterling Heights for 2 years. On our first weekend there, after unloading the moving truck, we went to a Pizza Hut around 8 mile Rd. around 10 PM on a Friday night. All of a sudden the kids from behind the counter panicked and began locking all of the doors. We did not know if they were the criminals and it was a hold up or what. We found out that there was a crime in progress in the neighborhood and they did not want to become victims. We never went back. We however thoroughly enjoyed the many great restaurants there and love the west coast of Michigan. All states have problems but so far in Texas we feel fairly comfortable.

I know this is an old Forum, but I am new, from Texas, and PROUD of it. Only place I know of that I was required to wear a Cowboy hat as part of the uniform (Sheriff's Deputy). I also marvel at the ability to leave Galveston, and not get out of the greater Houston area, and it looks like one constant city for over two hours with no traffic, and then you are no longer below sea level....you are in the hills. Its hot, and mosquitos are the size of crows, but I LOVE it. Hit me up if you are from the Houston, Alvin Pearland area.

Just curious, do the people in Texas keep forgetting what their state looks like? When I was in Texas, there was a picture or outline of the state plastered on every flat surface, I'm not sure why......   ;D

Just havin' some fun with our Texas members..... Live where you like, and like where you live is my motto.

I've got a brother and a sister living in Austin. I also go there on business a couple of times a year. I really like visiting and riding the hill country. I also like Rudy's but we have one in Colorado Springs now. Texas is just too hot for me in the summer. But if Texas ever decides to secede I'll move there.

Rhino - I find it funny when people complain about Summer heat here in CO... being from Houston, w/ 100% humidity and 100* days... I love Summers here!  The white Winters, not so much... but Spring thru Fall... love it!  8)

Welcome to Texas Mojoh. We are glad to have you. I've leaved here my entire life except for two years in the mid west. I'm very glad to be home.
