I was adjusting the throttle cable at the bars and as I tightened the nut something snapped. Now the threaded part with adjuster just sits kind of loose where it should be snug to the housing. Took apart the throttle/start/kill switch assembly and can't really tell what I did. Is the top curved piece inside the housing that the cable runs through supposed to be loose in there and set in the channel or is that what I broke and it's supposed to be attached to the threaded part that the adjuster is on? I'm new to this and had a "fun" time putting the whole assembly back together the couple of times I've messed with it now so go easy on me.

Mine looks like this one in the pic so I'm guessing the curved piece is supposed to be attached to the threaded part, right? And in that case I'm looking at replacing the whole cable?

Nevermind, the plastic is broken and I've ordered a replacement cable from Murph's

I will save another thread by segueing into a related throttle cable issue. I Removed the carbs and reinstalled and the throttle does not spring back like it should.
FYI, I followed Shoodofbeen's carbs off and on video.
I'm a novice, so did I miss something simple?

The more slop you leave in, the faster it snaps shut.
