My 2012 c-14 has been a great bike....but I have been enamored by the BMW k1600gt. So I am thinking I will put her up for sale after I purchase a good used k1600. Anyone have an experience with the k1600? I will have a ton of seats / windshields etc.. for sale so that will be good for anyone here looking to upgrade there c-14

Baba Booey:
No experience here, but they look comfy, that's for sure.

You might be ready for another bike, but since my 2009 C14 has needed nothing more than tires, fluids, brake pads, and 1 battery in 15 years and 140,000 miles, I'm gonna keep it ;)

The K16 is a big behemoth. I'd put it in the Goldwing category rather than the C14 category.
The engine isn't as smooth as the C14 and there are lots of known issues with the drivetrain.
I know of 2 people who had them and ended up replacing them with R1200RT and R1250GS.
The 2 that I rode (a GT and a GTL) were fast and capable, but uninspiring and very much unexciting.
Too many gadgets and computers control the bike so you are more of a "manager" than a rider.
It's a 2 wheeled BMW car.

For sheer enjoyment of riding I still prefer my ancient C10 even over the C14.
It's nowhere near as quick but is way more involving and satisfying to ride.

To all his own
I love my 2012 c-14 I have 75k on the clock and it has been very reliable and enjoyable bike. But I can tell you the #2 used k1600 I test rode one 2012 w 10k  and 2018 56k were both smooth as silk the inline 6 is just a smooth, the biggest thing that impressed me was the suspension it's superior to the c-14. All the gadgets are nice but not what has drawn me to the bmw. I will keep my c-14 till after I have the k1600 just to be sure then it will be in the classified section :)
