This has absolutely nothing to do with kipass, but I know we have a few EE's on here who might enjoy this read.
The link below offers an operational discussion of how the smartkey/keyless entry logic works in the 2011/12 Kia optima (likely similar to other kia/hyundai products that offer this feature).
