Rear unit lube question

I had been using a 70-90 multi grade synthetic. My wife brought home a 75-145 synthetic. I ride in temps from 50 to 100. Will this work. What are you using? I know the manual states straight weights.

I just use what the service manual calls for.
for three years i been running on Coastal SAE 80-90 GL-5 no problem, i just changed it two weeks ago and put in the same thing.
When Above 41'F SAE 90 - When Below 41'F SAE 80
So i guess what i'm using is good year round, i live in California.

What your wife got you will be fine Wayne.  It meets or exceeds any requirement for your use.   Probably cost a little extra, but you're worth it.   Good Luck

Yes you will be fine.... The cold weight is how the oil flows right out of the bottle and the hot weight is how it "behaves" at temp. Usually when oils have this wide of a viscosity they are highly engineered synthetics made from good base stock.

Moly based Grease or Paste...

Honda Moly Paste 60
Google the Honda Part Number: 08734-0001
Costs $7 - $10 but will last a lifetime and (IMHO) there's nothing better for wheel splines.
Not to be confused with "moly grease" which is NOT equivalent and has a very small fraction of the moly content in Honda Paste 60.
