Title: Help identifying these broken breathers! **SOLVED**
Post by: Organdonor on June 25, 2023, 02:13:51 PM
Howdy! I haven't ridden my 2009 C14 ABS for a couple of years, so I'm working on getting it on the road again. The fuel cap was corroded incredibly but we were able to bust it off without damaging the tank itself.

There are two plastic "tanks" on the left side of the bike that are visible with the fairing in place. They are both brittle and broke when touched. I think the one that is removed is a gas tank breather, 14069?

The second one, down at the bottom, seems to terminate at the bottom of it. It seems like there is a short (less than 1cm) cap clamped onto the bottom nipple. For the life of me I can't find it on all the parts diagrams I've found online.

I start further out for orientation, and then the last two pics are of where breather #1 was and the last pic is of it's remains.

In other words, they are both the same part number. 14069.

Edited the title to reflect it was solved.
