I'm not saying I'm gunna run out and paint mine like this, but as a fix to a very scratched up set of plastics, its a great alternative.

I think it would look good on the whole bike, the only drawback would be that it's permanent (striping would require a jackhammer) but that product will outlast the life of the bike anyway. I wonder how that texture would look painted over in a bright color...maybe kawi green.

I like the bedliner idea. That solves alot of chips scuffs  and scratching issues, I'll keep that one in mind as i rack up miles on mine. Thanks for updating us I'm still learning a bunch about the c14. Though I do think a copper or green with the black would look really good also. But have to admit I too love a sleeper.

The bedliner stuff will chip off under the right (wrong) circumstances.

I've been using it on my fork lowers on the ZRX for a while.  It does hold up better than paint though.

Maybe on metal, but on plastic it seems to stick like snot.  I messed up a spot on my lower fairing and it was a chore to smooth it down to recoat it.  Seems to be very durable, but I will see how it goes once I get back on the road which should be in the next couple of days.

Are you sanding it thoroughly first?

Yes sir, proper prep.

Honestly, it's too much up close riding with my hoolie bros using sticky ass tires.

I have my bike stripped...............again.  I am going to be installing the full Muzzy exhaust and finishing up the AutoTune.  I have it wired up and just need to get the bung welded to the midpipe. I installed the Murphs shifter bearings and plugged the fresh air tube going to the pair valve.  All I will have left after tomorrow is putting on fresh rubber, powdercoating the wheels, and sending the forks to Ohlins.

Nice progress Jeremy!  :chugbeer:

Are you doing the wheels black or something else, I think you were debating on other colors awhile back?

I really hate to see you slowing that fast silverdammit bike down with the slower black wheels.

My wheels are already black so it won't be any slower than it already is.  Plus, slow isn't a bad thing for me right now.

I got the Muzzy installed today, and it looks great........ to me.  I was pleasantly surprised that the exhaust came with an O2 bung already on it.  There is no mid pipe mount and the muffler mount was done by making an offset bracket.  All in all it was fairly simple.  My biggest problem was getting the exhaust gaskets to stay put.  I ended up using a dab of grease to hold them while I slid the header into place (hopefully it won't smoke for to long  ;D).  Here is a picture of the bracket that I made.

Total weight savings is about 24 pounds compared to the stock exhaust (including the header).

Plenty of room between the can and the pannier.

Recently I had been thinking about putting a zx-10 front fender on but I like the protection the stock fender gives the forks and radiator (I also have a Murphs fender extender).  So I decided to hack up the front fender to make it a little more streamlined in the front.

Here is pic after my first trim, the final cut is the pen marking on the masking tape.  I will post up some finished pics tomorrow after the bedliner is dry.
