Welcome slowingdown  ;D
Your C14 sounds similar to mine.
2008 GTR1400 in Metallic Diablo Black, Shoodaben MRP, Maxton rebuilt ZX14 forks valved and sprung for my weight, Ohlins shock sprung for my weight, bearinged shifter (not Murphs),  Remus Hexacone slip on, Calsci Large screen and a Corbin 2 piece saddle.

Thank You. How do you like your bike since installing the ZX14 forks? I just had a chance to ride mine last weekend for the first time since I installed them and I like the way the tire feels more connected to the road especially when rolling through a winding road.

Thank You. How do you like your bike since installing the ZX14 forks? I just had a chance to ride mine last weekend for the first time since I installed them and I like the way the tire feels more connected to the road especially when rolling through a winding road.
I'm pretty heavy (400lbs) so the OEM forks were just not up to the job, but I tolerated the dive and vagueness until the chrome wore off and I just had to replace them.
I picked up a used pair of ZX14 forks with the same ABS sensor mount as mine and shipped them off to Maxton https://www.maxtonsuspension.co.uk/
They rechromed the tubes, ceramic coated the fork lowers (the piece that the axle & calipers mount to), and rebuilt/revalved/resprung them to suit my weight.
The forks cost me $300 and the rebuild $1400.
Now I have very little dive, the front end feels very connected to the road and cornering is a real pleasure, but I have yet to get them dialled in fully.

I bought a used Ohlins STX46-KA109 shock at the same time as the forks ($1000, only 3000 miles on it) and bought a 160NM spring for it and had that fitted before fitting it to the bike.
The rear also feels solidly planted now but again it needs to be setup correctly.

Between the forks and the shock the comfort is VASTLY improved. I won't say it's magic carpet (I have my big Lexus for that) but it never jolts or jars yet I can still feel what is happening where the rubber meets the road and have WAY more confidence when cornering.
I have the rider sag set at 40mm rear and 35mm front.
I plan to take it to a local suspension setup specialist in a month or 2 and spend a morning with them getting it dialled in to where it needs to be.
Then I can fine tune it from there if I feel the need.

So, I'm $2700 in on a 2008 76k mile GTR1400 and I've just spent ½ of what the bike is worth on suspension, but it was worth the investment especially considering I would have had to spend $500 just to get the OEM forks rechromed and rebuilt. Now I just need to get my back fixed so I can go and ride the wheels off of her.

I need to dial my forks in too. I set the height the same as as the original ones, but I am thinking of dropping them down a 1/4 inch then start adjusting the settings from there. I might end up going to a local Tec that I know who is very good to help me get the set up where I need it to be. I have not decided yet which way I am going to go on the rear shock yet. I do really like my bike thought.
