If it's the first letter of the Key code then I've got my answer. I need to order 2 passive fobs as it seems as though my ex-wife lost my other active fob. I want to order 2 of the passive fobs and 2 keys but need to figure out which keys to order.
Thanks for the help guys!

NEW info for passive fob replacements...
especially for those with "left hand" keys...
HERE ARE ALL THE KEY BLANKS
27008 27008-0048 KEY-LOCK,BLANK,#A
27008A 27008-0049 KEY-LOCK,BLANK,#B
27008B 27008-0050 KEY-LOCK,BLANK,#A,MAIN SWITCH
27008C 27008-0051 KEY-LOCK,BLANK,#B,MAIN SWITCH
27008D 27008-0062 KEY-LOCK,BLANK,#A,SPARE FOB
27008E 27008-0063 KEY-LOCK,BLANK,#B,SPARE FOB
RECENT discovery...
a key with capability for containing a 'clonable chip' is available for use with a JMA-TPX2 chip, which requires the locksmith to have a JMA TRS 5000 Evo electronic chip programmer, but it is out there...
appears to be a JMA key...

that is the "key SHELL", without a chip, it will accept a JMA TPX2 chip, which is available all over...
unfortunatly it, as I am seeing, is only the 'left hand key', I'll look for a right hand key version shortly...
but if your key matches the following ones, shown pictorially, it's covered.
27008 27008-0048 KEY-LOCK,BLANK,#A
27008B 27008-0050 KEY-LOCK,BLANK,#A,MAIN SWITCH
27008D 27008-0062 KEY-LOCK,BLANK,#A,SPARE FOB
the key will not fit in the fob, but it can be cut as a normal spare, and a chip can be inserted and cloned...
note: because this is a 'cloned chip', you must have a fob to use as a master, but it copies the OEM code on said fob chip, and thus DOES NOT require using the KDS3 to reprogram the ECU.. major savings.
EDIT;
for the right handed keys, these are the ones you need....
(the ones correlating to the "#B Blank Kaw locksets"
Blade:Standard Ilco:KW16MH
