This one hit me really hard. Saw them last time they were in Orlando in 2014. Was looking forward to seeing them again soon. Those days are gone. Remember hearing LYIN' EYES on the radio in 1975, 10 years old, in Randy Beard's house, my next door neighbor, on a little transistor. I was hooked from then on. Pieces of yourself and childhood, wrapped up in other people and places, slowly leaving. Tough. God bless you Glenn, and thanks for all the great memories your talent created for me, and the rest of the world. You will be missed.

I never saw them live but have been listening to them ever since my roommate in college brought home an album, "On the Boarder", from a band I hadn't heard of. Been hooked ever since. Many years later when they got back together and release the live, acoustic version of "Hotel California", hooked me all over again. One of the best recordings ever IMO. RIP Mr. Frey.

I saw them live on their final tour with the Long Run album. They came to Hawaii to play in the Aloha stadium. This a month before we were to move from Hawaii to Bremerton Washington for major ship overhaul.

Hit me like a ton of bricks. I saw them when I was a punk ass college student in Austin, Tx in 1980 and again just last year here in Dallas. The concert in Dallas conjured so many memories. Every song they played was special to me. I know everyone else felt the same way. RIP Mr. Frey. 67 is way too young.

Saw them many times, the 1st time in 1970 they were not super famous yet & were play'n the local junior college for 4 bucks, we showed up early & were talkin to the roadies (about all the great weed they were smoking) Then the guy that played banjo Bernie (quit or was fired not long after that)
showed up & when he saw the venue wasn't even set up yet he said got pissed & said screw this & they canceled.
Then saw them in 72 at the LA forum with Yes & Poco. Saw them around 74 in Santa Barbara, then I saw the Hotel California tour in 77 with Joe Walsh in the LA forum. And I think I saw them at one of the Cal-jam shows (that one is pretty fuzzy :rotflmao:)

Bernie Lynn(??) I believe, can't recall.
Timothy Schmit (??) from Poco joined the band and love the addition with Joe Walsh. Joe always looks like he's having the time of his life when he plays.
