Title: what do you use for your home page?
Post by: Squishman on January 30, 2012, 06:53:36 PM
Mine has been the Drudge Report since about the month I went on line in 1999. Never switched since.

I'm with Wayne, about:blank. A carryover from when I was dialup, I didn't want crap loading in the background as I was trying to surf corn  ::)

Now I have Yahoo! (my.yahoo.com) all configured as my 'home' page, and on 'speed dial'. It's the first one opened in a new window in the AM, followed by ZGGTR, also in its own window.

I have a 4 tab Home page.

Tab 1, http://www.zggtr.org/index.php (http://www.zggtr.org/index.php)   ;D

Tab 2 (this is a charitable site with 8 tabs. By clicking each one of the donation buttons you help give free food to the hungry, help needy women get mammograms, help feed and care for rescued animals, free meals to homeless Veterans, therapy for autistic children, fund healthcare for children in need, free books for children in need, and help protect wildlife habitats. You click on these once a day and each time you're giving something to those who need it. The tabs are at the top)    http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/home.faces;jsessionid=E706658967A790B2DE0CD7A9940E40D6.ctg-c?siteId=1&link=ctg_ths_home_from_ars_home_sitenav (http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/home.faces;jsessionid=E706658967A790B2DE0CD7A9940E40D6.ctg-c?siteId=1&link=ctg_ths_home_from_ars_home_sitenav)

On most browsers, blank.  The way Opera is set up, instead of a "home page", when it starts there are several quick link type things.  If you're unfamiliar, they look like tiny windows with a picture of that particular web page to which you have assigned.  You can set it up to load then anew every time you open it or, as I do, just have a generic frame of it from the time you made the association.

Sadly with the forumado of last year, zggtr got bumped to the number 2 tab, it was number 1.
Now number 1 is BARF (http://www.bayarearidersforum.com), wtih COG in third.

However I have thought of making this  (http://www.carforums.net/showthread.php?12265-How-To-Remove-A-Stripped-Bolt) my homepage.

That's actually what I was looking for, but I didn't want to link some really weird site that nobody would click on. I crack myself up.
