Title: Steves (in sunny florida) torque cams
Post by: buzzcut on June 16, 2015, 11:51:01 PM

I recently found out the cams in my bike(1986) were zx1000, not zg so I bought the torque cams and jet kit from Steve.   Below is my initial impression which I sent to Steve.

Holy crap, that is a completely different bike.  It has never idled
like that, in fact, I had to drop the idle down from where it was set
by 400 rpm.  There is no hesitation on acceleration anywhere.  I can
drop it to 1500 rpm in 6th gear and pull out strong..makes me wonder why there
are six gears.  It is in fact almost scary the difference is so great.
I will have to relearn the bike entirely.  Totally impressed so far.
I will let you know about mileage when things settle down for me.

Thanks for a wonderful product.  I knew it would be but just not how
much difference it would make.

I hope to get my bike back tomorrow or the next day.  It will have spa carbs, 2 minute mod and the torque cams.
Can't wait.
