upper fairing assembly
« on: March 09, 2021, 08:58:36 AM »
I have repaired my upper fairing with my plastic welder and need to reassembe to the healite module. The manual instructions are inscrutable.
Upper Fairing Disassembly •Remove:
Upper Fairing (see Upper Fairing Removal)
Screws [A]
Bolts
Headlights [C]
Upper Fairing Assembly •Set up the and fairing damper bracket [A] inlet fairing . •Install the headlight. •Installation is the reverse of removal.

Has anyone done this and have any tips?

I've done several fairing-upper welding jobs and re-assembly isn't rocket science.  ;)
All you need to do is bolt in the headlight (4 bolts that screw into 4 U-nuts), screw in the turn signals, and then mount the fairing onto the fairing subframe which was previously bolted to the bike.
What exactly are you struggling with?

I was trying to read the manual to understand what to do and the instructions are missworded:Set up the and fairing damper bracket [A] inlet
fairing  with a picture of it upside down.

I got the fairing installed on the headlight yesterday. Once I got to work on it I figured it out. There is an inlet fairing piece that connects with two "bolts: and two "screws" .
