It might be the only time it pays to have an over weight kid. 

We have a lot of bald eagles here around our beach and people "lose" cats and small dogs all the time.  No one has ever actually seen an eagle take one, but the possibility is there.

Well, if a Golden Eagle wanted to snatch a kid that small, it could.  There are some YouTube videos of a Golden Eagle throwing goats off a mountain and then eating them...  Pretty smart bird.
