Title: ZZR1200 rider here looking to learn more about long distance touring

I'm from Newark, NJ and just got a ZZR1200 not too long ago. I'm looking to set it up for some touring and know that this forum is a good place for info and ideas.

You'll have to start by giving us some more information about you and your bike.
Have you modified your bike in any way for long distance trips? (Bags, bars, etc?)
How about you. (Age, height, etc?)
Where are you interested in Touring?

At the minimum, I think you'll need bags, (maybe) adjust your seating position slightly, and probably add a higher windshield.

....I found the front side where they have seemingly "scooped" out leg clearance for the passenger's legs more interesting. I thought they looked like Big Gulp drink holders that were never finished.

Post by: AlbertaDoug on September 12, 2015, 12:40:52 PM: Good rain gear, extra tools, tire patch kit, drinking water, snacks,( apples ,the crunching works better then coffee) cash, highway pegs, I use a sheepskin( others use a air hawk).
