Like Suki, I've had three cats that look just like Crimpet. Not cool that the GF took her.

This was Mika.

I miss her very much. I had to find her a new home because my wife and step daughter at the time were taking allergy medicine every day and my wife started getting a heart palpatation from it.

We don't have a cat now, no way the dogs would ever let it have any peace.

This is Peanut, rest in peace sweetheart, we miss you.  She was the best damn cat ever.

If any of you find you are truly animal lovers, and believe in the idea of rescues...
I suggest a visit to Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, UT
Its an amazing experience in some gorgeous land.

This is Lilli,
She is a spoiled 5 yr old, and loves the camera. She'll find your lap and be on it before you have your but in the seat. And she is the best we've had over the yrs.
This is a great thread.
Ride safe all, and ATGATT please.

Tucker (actually not black; he's really a black & incredibly dark red tiger) and Sox (apricot-point siamese coloring, but too big to be a real siamese). It is not possible for 2 cats to be more different. Tucker is very vocal, loves to play catch and be picked up. Sox is rarely vocal (he got the siamese "nyaa" meow), runs and stares at whatever you throw for him like he knows there's something he's supposed to do, and you can pick him up for about 3 seconds before the panic sets in.

A pic of Zoot, aka the ugly cat with Yakko. Zoot was put down at 14 yrs, probably 12 or 13 in the pic. Oddly enough, he didn't skip a beat after she was put down. Acted like she never existed.

Chester is a 6-year-old lazy-a$$ male Main Coon and ?? mix - 17 pounds right now.

Cookie is new to the house, I've only had her a month, she's a rescue from the pound, 2 years old and she's already running things here.  She tips over Chester's water bowl, eats his food, and has tried to take over his climbing tower.

Bozo is a character and loves nothing more than stealing other cats toys.  ;D

1st off, shakespeare, look closely at the lamp reflection in your first picture, zoom in on it.  Looks like a Harley with high beams on ;D

What is the best outdoor/barncat species?  I'd need a very hardy, mean, dont mess with me type cat for the country.  The bigger, the better.  Temps dip below zero and lots of snow in the Winter and temps are upper 90s in the Summer.

In spite of the petting, that poor cat is scared spitless about something.  There's a person off-camera doing something to scare it.

Theo.  We rescued him in June of 1999.  We "theorized" he was born on April Fool's Day.  He was trapped with 140 other Siamese and mixed breeds from a local hoarder and past cat enthusiast just outside the gates of Mount Vernon.  I actually went to WUSA in DC to pick him up after they did a news spot for the Siamese Rescue Alliance on local TV.  We had already adopted him, it just saved my the drive to the facility 2 hours away.  He was very stand-offish for years.  He recently turned into a lap-cat and love bug though.  I guess old age does that.  He still runs around like a wild cat though.
