I thought that I'd change it up a bit from the thread about things that annoy us.
Riding my bike on a beautiful Fall day. :)
Running through the gears on an empty road. :D

Beer.

Happiness is an overrated emotion.
'When I smile, tell me some bad news. Before I laugh and act like a fool.'
-
Sitting in a boat, on a glass smooth pond, on a warm summer night fishing, and not caring if you caught anything or not.
-
Twisting the throttle on the Connie on some back road with no traffic and lots of sweeping turns. 8) Then at the end of that day, coming into some small town I've never been to and finding a cheap motel stumbling distance to a brew pub. Doing this with my brothers and my son on a week long summer road trip, pure joy and happiness right there. :banana

I just don't get excited about owls... :finger_fing11:

Really?

Sharing my good day.
-
Wrenching on my bike or hot rod putting new goodies on.

Being amused or amusing myself (Easy Boys! Not that way!). Seven billion people on the planet and 6,999,999,972 are straight- men (and women), all amusing me to no end. The balance are cranky people who amuse no one.
And my new wood stove, which shipped this week! Well, it would have if the mfg. did not push back the delivery a week :-( Oh well, next week I will be happy about it shipping all over again. ;D

It took a while but I found that I like to be figuring things out. It's dull if everything is understood and organized, but if there's something wrong that needs improving, especially if the solution is not immediately obvious, I wake up and pay attention.
The corollary is that I don't like to do repetitive stuff.

Riding my bicycle around White Rock Lake anytime of year, my Connie, my family, life in general really. I'm thankful and grateful for everything that I have and take time at least once a week to reflect on that.
-
My grandchildren... and yes....beer
-
^that! And I would add Tivo and not watching any commercials.
-
Remembering :finger_fing11: the birth of and first breaths of my children(4). ;D
8) the smell of a new bikes first ride. The sensory barrage of riding any motorcycle ( street or dirt). A secluded twisty road.
Having breakfast with any of my six grandchildren and watching them wake up. :D
Watching my wife take care of all of us :D

Ah, John Prine, haven't thought of him in a long time. One of my favorite songs, "Souvenirs".

Actually that's the best tutorial that I've found on the internet. The youtube video of MIT open courseware shows a wrong decomposition. I've had to teach it to myself because the professor hasn't. That doesn't make me happy. :'(

Little out of my league, but thanks for planting a seed. :finger_fing11:
Time to pull out the graph paper and plug away.

Are we talking NM green chili or the chili cook off variety?

Getting a warning instead of a ticket! :o phew!

Chili cook off. I've been to NM- for the green chili. My son lives maybe 20 minutes drive from Old Mesilla. Got a lot of the local hot stuff while I was visiting. :finger_fing11:

Working on my dad's bike (or anything for that matter) in the garage, having to wear his reading glasses that I found in a tool drawer. My wife comes up and says "You look just like your dad." I just smile because I just started needed reading glasses.

When your young daughter tells her friends, "My daddy can fix anything!". Now at age 19, I did some work on her car while she was home from college on Fall Break, and I still get that look from her that her daddy is superman. :chugbeer:

My 16 y/o daughter makes me happy.... makes me laugh... makes me feel stupid... :rotflmao:
When my iPhone 5S was zoomed in on the screensaver, showing a cloud of the Earth... I couldn't enter my pin, do anything with it... thinking I was going to have to buy another phone. I was on my way out door to the Verizon store, when she asked where I was going... showed her the phone and explained where I was going... she quipped, "I can fix that!" ... 2 taps on the screen with the 3 middle fingers of her hand. PRESTO FIXO! Hands me back my phone...
:o

My wife and I went grocery shopping last night at the local Wallys.
As we walked up to the entry we heard the sounds of live music coming from inside.
Wally had cleared a large area near the entryway for one of the local junior high school bands and they were playing Christmas music and doing a very fine job of it.
This made me happy. :)
-
Going home to Colorado tomorrow for 2 weeks to spend Christmas with the family. That makes me very happy. :)

A vodka martini.

A vodka martini.
I could go for one right now. I'm sure its because I am anticipating tomorrow but this day is dragging.

Before or after the martini? Bearing in mind the size of the glass as well...
