I'm flying down to Tennessee next weekend to pick up this:

He was going to TN to pick up the above bike. We were PM'ing each other about meeting up to ride. Then a friend of mine tells me about a guy who flew in to buy his friends KLR who was killed after picking it up. It may have been Kazairl and I can't get in touch with him.

Oh no...
-
Oh man I hope not.

Lets keep our fingers crossed.....

I should have heard from him by now so it is not looking good. It is all circumstantial right now because I only know Kazairl's first name and that he is from Nebraska. I have been communicating with the seller via our mutual friend and I am told that the seller was contacted because of the paperwork, but that the hospital will not provide any details regarding the cause of death.
Kazairl told me has to be home by the 22nd so if I don't hear from him soon after that then I will have to assume the worst.
This does make you wonder when someone active on the forums just disappears without a goodbye what happened to them.
-
Where did the incident happen?
-
Is it possible for one of the moderators to make contact thru email not that it would change anything? Just a thought. JP

Anyone can send him an e-mail.

Would the police in that area be able to help? Maybe newspapers?

I think that would be a problem since no one seems to know his full name.
-
Well see that is the first question, what area? You could maybe make an educated guess after that as I am sure it would be in the news.
-
Looks like he recently sold some stuff and owned one of Phil's racks.
Someone knows his name.

And his first name is?
Google may hook up a name and an accident, or lack thereof.
He last logged in here on 11-April :(

The name he gave me is Scott.
The name of the person who bought the bike was Scott Lauer. I already have been messaging with Jim and Kazairl did not register his full name on the forum.
The bike was picked up in Crossville, TN and Kazairl said he was heading toward the Tail of the Dragon area.
I have searched for wrecks but have not found anything.
I was sure hoping someone here knows Kazairl (Scott) from Nebraska.

Here's an obituary under that name:

That really rips... such a young guy, too!

Prayers to his family.

I don't do Face Book. Is there any indication there that he left a wife? Kids?
Brule is a 3.5 hour drive for me. Might set an alarm Monday AM...

I looked at that exact funeral home yesterday and it wasn't there so it just showed up. Unfortunately I think it's him based on the information that we know now. Very sad. He was 25.
-
Yes, it is.
-
Very sad to hear of the loss of another brother....
-
Was hoping for a better ending. :(

I just got caught up in reading some of his posts. Very sad. Way too young to have lost his life.
RIP Scott.

I just did the same thing. I never knew him. But reading his posts I get the feeling he was a vibrant young man with hope for a bright future and an amazing life just a few days ago. Hard to think he lost his life doing what I look forward to doing every day I can. RIP Kazairl.
-
You guys have confirmed what I was fearing. We were talking about meeting up since he was going to be in my area. I hope he was enjoying the ride when it happened. Rest in peace Scott.
-
That is just terrible. I would rather find out we were wrong, but if not RIP young man and condolences to his family and friends. I wonder if they even have a clue that he posts here. I know my wife does but I don't think she would even think of letting people here know what happened to me.
-
Online condolences can be shared with the funeral home. His family and friends could receive our thoughts and prayers.

Sad to read about this, 25- so young---condolences

So sorry to hear that. Deepest sympathies to you and the rest of his family.

I think I can speak from the Concours community as a whole when I say we are like family. To lose one of our own hits deep. While many of us didn't know him, we still see him as one of us. He will be missed and we are sad for you and your family's loss.

I agree!!!
I'm very sorry for the loss of your brother! Good man must die, but death cannot kill their names!
Rest in peace friend!

I met the seller of the KLR Scott was riding when he lost it in that curve. He was pretty torn up over it. A group of us went riding in the mountains and he fell way off the pace even though the riding was at a very sane pace. I know I had Scott in my thoughts going through the curves.
Thank you to Scott's brother for bringing closer to this thread. I just wish I could have met up with and rode with Scott this past week.
-
Sorry about Scott. WE ARE a very "close" group here even if miles and miles apart. To Scott's brother...If there is anything this group can do to help, please post here and let us know....
this group has a history of helping out...I know first hand....
RIP Scott...but ride hard in the hevens!!!!
