Was there a member of the forum re-building J-Boxes?
« on: August 03, 2011, 11:06:47 PM »
Looks like I am in the market for a J-Box, would prefer re-built if I can get it, I remember reading about a forum member that was buying up old boxes, putting upgraded relays in them and re-soldering everything, then re-selling...anybody got a clue who that might have been?
Thanks a mil!
Tim

Thanks a mil...I think that's the one! Although, he doesn't make any mention of re-soldering or even checking the solder connections, and I believe that might be the area where mine is suffering...

I sent mine to Larry Buck and he has a very quick turn-around.  He replaces the relays and retraces the solder lines.  I was having an intermittent problem of all electrical going dead.  Never had a problem after the repair.  HTH
