That sounds like a great trip, I'm envious. Especially because the route is deliberately challenging and curvy, although I don't think 10 hr. days are for me.

My wife and I do similar trips by bicycle, less mileage, turns are not as exciting. Restaurants are good.

We stayed a night in Valberg, France which is a ski resort town. We shared our motel with about  20 German bicyclists on tour. They seemed to be having as much fun as we were!
