I know I posted this before but being mentally challenged,................ I have a hard time finding my way home from work let alone a post I made 5 months ago .
What size of wrenches/sockets do I need? Front and rear.
Thanks MOB. I'll check. My Connie is buried in the garage somewhere.............My two sons moved back home for the summer (school break) and all their "Stuff" is in there. Not sure I'll get any saddle time this season.
For the front axle, you can use a metric bolt head if you don't have the proper size allen wrench. Double nut it.
Years ago I bought a 12mm socket style wrench and the allen part was long enough that I just cut a section off the end to use in the other side and I carry that in my tool kit.
Also, depending on the front tire you are removing or installing, a 12mm to remove the front fender bolts.
Good point. When I installed my "GT'S" I found that if I inflate the tire to seat the bead and then deflate it, I could install it without removing the fender. Those bolts on the INSIDE of the fender are a PITA!
